Local Government System in Nigeria has a vital role to play in enriching the life of Nigerians. By the provision of 1999 constitution as amended; Local government is a developmental entity at the grass root. If the system is given much needed support and opportunity to strive, the other tiers of government (State and Federal) will have lesser burden in the development challenge of Nigeria.
Our research shows that a Pool Investment or Special Purpose Vehicle Entity for local government will ignite the rural economy in terms of agriculture, Small and Medium Scale Businesses through Innovative finance system and other area of interest aimed at poverty reduction and development of entrepreneurial skills. Hence the need for National Summit.
